Sam Ricker: Beast Mode

Since the ripe old age of 2, little Sam Ricker has been skiing faster than you. A jack of all trades, and the biggest threat on the Maine high school circuit, Sam is as good as it gets, and he’s only getting better. Continue reading

The Art of Spring Skiing

All winter you wait.

It starts in November, with a single chairlift and a strip of snow down the center of the trail. It progresses to the patchy snow conditions of December, and through the gale force winds and unrelenting freezing and thawing of January. State Championship. Cape Vs. Leavitt

The buzz around the school this week was  not about turkey dinners, upcoming family functions  or on the over anticipated thanksgiving break. No, its focus has been on the state championship  football game, where our very own Leavitt Hornets will take on Cape Elizabeth. The two talented-undefeated teams will compete for the Class B Eastern State Championship title, this Saturday  at Fitzpatrick Stadium at 6p.m. This is definitely a game you won’t want to miss.
